Creating Magic  For five years, (1996-2000), Gil served as director of the California Writers Club Conferences at Asilomar. Working with a volunteer Board and five conference committees, Gil was responsible for almost every aspect of this important event. (See the numbers on the side panel). Gil specifically designed the conferences to be inclusive to all genres of writing, and have a distinct, international flavor.
