Gil’s decades of training experience are rooted in a very practical need. Research grants usually require that any demonstration program be replicable, and this requires a training component. Because Gil is usually the author or creator of all or part of the program he is presenting, he offers an author’s insight to trainees. Below are examples of some of the training he has provided for his clients.

 YWCA of Los Angeles —Operates child care centers, senior citizen programs, residential homes, recreation centers, domestic violence shelters, youth training classrooms, child care centers, CETA education centers, etc. throughout Los Angeles County (Here). Gil’s tasks were to: • Serve as the agency’s consulting program developer/trainer for eight years • Write numerous grants securing over $14 million to fund programs • Create educational curriculums and policy manuals • Train the YWCA boards, staff and volunteers in implementing new programs • Create and develop Choices or Chances? Sebastopol Center for the Arts, Sebastopol, California—The nexus for visual, performance and literary arts in Western Sonoma County. Gil’s tasks were to: • Create curriculums and train writing students • Judge short story contest entries LA Job Corps—Is a residential youth training program serving 450 at-risk teens. Gil’s tasks were to: • Write the $15.5 million grant for continued funding • Create and test training curriculums • Train staff and volunteers. Dominican University, San Rafael, California Gil’s tasks were to: • Create “Aloha” movie-based customer service program, train HR staff to present program to employees. • Create Anti-Harassment training curriculum, train HR staff Pico Union Neighborhood Council, Los Angeles California—A multi-cultural Community Action Agency providing housing, child care, CETA training, food and transportation services. Gils tasks were to: • Create the protocol, process and procedures for administration of a Self Assessment Action Plan (SAAP) for the agency childcare center • Train staff and board how to administer and implement the SAAP. • Create and train CETA staff members to implement a competency based preschool curriculum
